I have a sundial given to me by a friend. I noticed the photo of the exact sundial in the back yard of a home in Baltimore. I am interested in the manufacturer and the age of this sundial. Anything you can tell me would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hey Tomato Man, all I know is that the sundial was owned by Henry Louis Mencken, and is behind his house. He died in 1956, so that sundial is pretty old. -- You might want to contact the Friends of the Mencken House http://www.menckenhouse.org/ - they'll probably be able to help you out.
I'm an expat, and I have lived in Baltimore for 10 years. I'm hoping to introduce the city to others (and myself!) through this blog. I take my pictures with a Casio Exilim.
The drawing is by Johan Vestly and is of Stuttfótur - a character from my favorite book series when I was a kid.

Love the rooftop decks! People would look at me funny (or enviously?) if I put one of those up round here. Its only a matter of time though.......
